| To sum it up... It's typical that this time of the year Sellers and Buyers slow their selling and buying behavior to make way for the holidays. That said, among sellers in particular, many have decided to either temporarily take their home off the market to get through the holidays or hold off listing until the Spring market - so we should expect to see more listings popping up mid- to end- of January.
Currently, the 30 year mortgage is at the lowest it's been all year, in fact, it's is equal to September of 2024, when it was the lowest in all of 2024 - so, really, we care currently seeing rates at a 2 year LOW! Hopefully, this will hold true into the new year and we will see more active Sellers and Buyers in 2026.
