March is trending down, is this going to hold for the foreseeable future? With one week left in the month of March we see the overall number of homes down from a year ago, year to date with the average home price higher with the exception of the West of Rt 13 Quadrant. March mortgage rates have been pretty steady all month, down from February and a year ago.  With some uncertainty, the FED is holding short term rates as-is for now.   To sum it up... March is currently down -32% in total Closings from a year ago, making the year to date trend moving in the negative growth direction. For the month, this is a fairly consistent trend across all quadrants of the county. Home prices are still higher than a year ago and the five year average; while interest rates are lower versus last year.   Looking for a Deal ?
