The Main Story...

October is upon us, but it's no time to be scared...  Mortgage Rates are at 6% and falling and Seawitch is only a few weeks away.

As we close out September, we see the average price of a home is up from last month and last year while the number of transactions are relatively flat year over year.
New Listings increased 8% from a year ago with nearly 40% of those homes going under contract before the end of the month.

Last weeks national average mortgage rate was relatively unchanged from the prior week, hovering just over 6%.  Some local lenders are already quoting rates in the mid to high 5%'s.

To sum it up... 

 

September closed strong with interest rates down significantly from a year ago and with stronger Seller confidence, we're seeing more inventory coming on the market. 

The average number of Days on Market has increased, but close to 40% of all new listings are still selling quickly.
