Happy Labor Day!   R&R is on many minds, but with interest rates dropping, so too should be Real Estate. August closed with a 4% increase in Closings from a year ago while the average home price was down 1%.  Increases in demand tend to firm up prices. The National Average Mortgage Rate for a 30 year fixed rate mortgage remained unchanged last week at 6.35%. Showing significant improvement from a year ago, the almost 1% reduction on $500K financed is nearly $300 / month in savings vs. September 2023.
