Year to Date through April   Year to Date through April, New Construction settlements are down across the county, with the exception of the quadrant West of Rt 13.  Prices are down the closer to the beach you get while they've increased slightly farther out. Interest Rates in April ended over 7%, which was up about three quarters of a point over last year.  May is still showing higher rates as the Fed continues to try and cool inflation. To sum it up...  New Construction makes up a little more than 25% of the overall sales in the county with the area between routes 1 and 113 is the largest growth area for new builds. This means that Resale Homes still command the lion-share of the market.  Are Resale Sellers more willing to negotiate??
